About Anthony

Nice to meet you. I’m Anthony Reynolds, CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER ™ and founder of CoreTegic Capital Wealth Management.  I’ve been in this business for more than a decade and I’m still as passionate as the day I started. Why? Because I get to connect with people and hear their stories, dreams, and challenges, and then work with them to create a wealth management plan perfectly tailored to their lives.

After more than 20 years of service in the Army National Guard, I have plenty of experience as a problem solver. It is my honor to work closely with my clients to develop, manage, grow, and protect their assets, no matter what chapter of life they are in. I am also a Certified Financial Planner® with a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Iowa.

When I’m not meeting with clients or finding new ways to grow my knowledge and better serve my clients, I enjoy running, overlanding, and cooking my signature chicken fettuccine alfredo.

About Lani

Hello! I’m Lani Craig, CoreTegic’s Administrative Business Executive. I’ve been working in administrative roles for many years. I currently also work full-time for the Iowa Army National Guard in a role that is part Human Resources and part administrative.

I’ve known Anthony for years, and we have shared military experience and similar approaches to work and life. I enjoy working with clients and learning about financial management and all that we can do for our clients.

When I’m not wrangling things for Anthony, I wrangle my household, which is busy and loud with five kids, two dogs, and a busy husband. I also enjoy spending time with my family, running, and working out.

FAQ

Absolutely! We signed a fiduciary oath for our clients and will always act in this manner.

Fee-only means that our only compensation comes from our clients, not from products or services that we would recommend. We do not sell any financial products, nor do we receive any commissions from insurance brokers, mutual funds, attorneys, or CPAs.

Being a fee-only financial planner helps reduce nearly every conflict of interest that exists in the financial industry, aligns your goals and financial well-being with our firm, and allows us to be the true fiduciary that you deserve.

“If you fail to plan, you are planning to fail.” – Ben Franklin

For most clients, the biggest reasons to hire a financial planner are two-fold.

First, you need an experienced professional with the expertise to see areas of weakness in your finances. Second, you need someone to collaborate with you and hold you accountable to your financial plan.

Any plan isn’t worth the paper it’s written on if it’s not put into action.

A CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM practitioner has, at a minimum:

If you’re not ready to put some effort into your financial future, this won’t work. This process should be a partnership that merits the sweat equity both you and we will put in upfront. We’ll need to have regular communication and progress to set up a path for success.

If you’re not comfortable using technology to manage your financial life.

If you’re looking for a swanky office with lots of pinstripe suits and jargon.

If you want your advisor to pick stocks or predict the future of the markets — we’re not those guys.

We don’t have account minimums. You’re a professional growing your life, family, and career. You deserve to have access to a great advisor, and we want to grow with you!

First, we take a risk profile assessment where we ask you a series of questions to find out how much risk you are willing to take with your investments. Think of this as your SWAN (sleep well at night) risk tolerance. How much risk can you tolerate and still sleep at night?

Once we do this, we create the right portfolio allocation for you. Everyone is different, but my clients generally fall into one of four main categories: conservative, moderate, aggressive, or ultra-aggressive.

Once we establish your risk tolerance, we will design a portfolio specifically for you. When it comes to investing for my clients, we practice what we preach. The investments that we recommend to our clients are the very same investments that are found in our portfolios, the only difference is allocations based on risk tolerance.

To successfully manage your own investments, you would need ample time, interest, expertise, and resources. Even if you have all those things, successful investing requires the ability to successfully control your emotions.

We believe that investment decisions shouldn’t be based on speculation or emotions, as these behaviors usually lead to investors becoming their own worst enemy — buying at all time market highs and selling at or near the bottom of a stock market downturn.

You are a specialist and amazing in your field, but that doesn’t translate to making good investments. Hiring an investment manager will prevent you from making mistakes that could prove catastrophic to securing your retirement.

Yes! We work with many of my clients on a remote basis. Our services have been designed so that all the information you need regarding your finances can be found via a custom, online portal, at any time. With this accessibility, we can easily have great conversations about your finances, by video chat or phone, without forcing you to break from your busy day or disrupt your routine. This also means that you won’t need to find a new advisor if you relocate, which many of our clients appreciate.
